Association. As of mid-November, San Diego Mayor Jerry
Sanders continues to indicate that sworn police officer
positions are likely to be cut. The San Diego Police
Officers Association (SDPOA) takes these threats seriously
and will actively assist officers concerned with layoffs.
In addition to compiling a list of Federal, State, County or
municipal agencies in need of professional, POST certified
officers, the SDPOA is considering holding a job fair in
January. Any agencies interested in setting up a booth are
invited to contact Khristina Smith via email at ksmith@sdpoa.org.
