Salary: $94,367 - $114,682
annually*
*(includes possible education incentives): The successful
candidate will work directly with the Police Chief in
planning, scheduling, organizing, supervising, reviewing and
evaluating the work of field police officers or the
detective, dispatch and records staff. This position
provides complex administrative and budgetary support to the
Chief in the areas of patrol, investigative and public
service activities.
Must possess AA degree or 2 yrs of college with major course
work in criminology, law enforcement, social or police
science, public administration or related field and two
years of supervisory experience at the Sergeant level or

TRIBAL
POLICE DEPUTY - The Bishop Paiute Tribe
is currently accepting applications for the following
position. Tribal Police Deputy: Under the direction
of the Tribal Police Chief, the Tribal Police Deputy will be
responsible for assisting in Tribal Law and Ordinance
Enforcement as well as a variety of administrative and
professional work in assuring compliance with State and
Federal Law. The ideal candidate for this position will have
a minimum of two years experience in Law Enforcement,
preferably with an Associate’s degree in related field and
POST certified. This is an unarmed position. Knowledge of
Public Law 280 and relevant federal laws that related to the
tribe is a plus. Must poses a valid driver’s license and
pass a background check. If residency is out side the Bishop
area then within 30 days of accepting employment, must be
able to establish full-time residency within a 5 mile radius
of the Bishop Paiute Tribe. This is a full time benefited
position and pay depends on experience.
