We understand one important reality of business, in that from time-to-time a insurance company can introduce new products as a defense reaction to competition. The PORAC sponsorship of insurance plans, comes from an ongoing analysis of plans and companies with leadership position within the insurance community.

Like our Cancer Insurance Plan, the Hospital Intensive Care Plan should be viewed as a supplementary benefit.

In our society, we have been fortunate in having several important supplements which have elevated our quality of life; pacemakers, eye glasses, crutches, etc. These aides do not replace, but rather augment. The same can be said of the AFLAC Intensive Care plan, in that the benefits are paid directly to you, unless assigned, so you can use them where you need them most.

A confinement in Intensive Care usually triggers a longer-than-usual stay in the hospital. With the increased likelihood of deductibles and co-payments having to be paid by the patient, our intensive care benefits could be an important source of needed cash when you most need them.
