At the November 2006 Annual Conference, the membership voted on a new membership classification specifically for Retirees who want to remain PORAC members.  This membership is available to current and prior PORAC members that have retired or are in the process of retiring.  There are benefits to continuing your membership in PORAC.

• First and foremost, as a retiree you remain a member of the largest Law Enforcement Association in the State and the largest Statewide Association in the Nation.





• You continue to have access to the insurance programs sponsored by the Insurance & Benefit Trust/Committee of PORAC which include Dental, Vision, Automobile and Homeowners Insurance, AFLAC Supplemental Insurance, Life Insurance.





• For a retiree participating in PERS Medical, PORAC has a valuable Health Plan administered through Blue Cross of California available for in and out of state retirees.





• You continue to receive the Magazine “PORAC Law Enforcement News” which includes legislative updates for both State and Federal legislation affecting retirees.





• Eligible for discount rates for PORAC Training, Seminars and the Annual Conference.





• PORAC merchandise remains available to you at cost.
