About SPAC

Nearly ten years ago, PORAC recognized that members of the specialized law enforcement segment were often being overlooked and unintentionally omitted from legislation. Noticing this disparity, PORAC, as the leader in law enforcement representation took action and developed the Specialized Police Associations Coalition (SPAC).

With the creation of the SPAC committee, specialized law enforcement now has a seat at the Board of Directors table and is able through the Region Representatives and the vast networking capabilities of PORAC to ensure that specialized law enforcement is fairly represented and no longer omitted from crucial legislation.

With nearly 7200 individual members, SPAC accounts for approximately 12% of the total membership of PORAC. With the creation of SPAC, specialized law enforcement now has a collective voice.
